The Role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Deliver high-quality phonics and early reading sessions
- Maintain clear, consistent routines and positive behaviour management
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Work closely with KS1 colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
- Strong understanding of phonics and early reading
- High expectations for pupil progress, behaviour, and engagement
