At the National Theatre, we make world-class theatre that is entertaining, challenging and inspiring. And we make it for everyone.
The National Theatre presents up to 20 new shows a year, from classics to new writing.
Located on the South Bank of the Thames, in central London, we have three theatres, a bookshop, cafes, bars, Lasdun Restuarant, Forza Wine and traders from street-food pioneers, KERB.
We offer daily guided theatre tours and run courses and workshops in our learning centre.
Our shows transfer to the West End, Broadway and tour the UK, and we broadcast selected shows to cinemas worldwide.
People also get married, have parties and run photoshoots and conferences in our rooftop event space, Buffini Chao Deck.

Our network worked with theatres and creative organisations in 13 priority areas of England to create more opportunities for people to engage in theatre in their area.
Over eight years we reached more than one million audiences and participants, online and in person, across the partner areas.
